Entry Requirements
To enrol on this course, you must have already completed a beginner to drawing and painting or introduction to drawing course with OCSW.

Course Intent
Do you like getting messy? Have you a yearning to play with charcoal and pastels and ink? Well, this class was made for you! Join Jayne for a course where you will create a series of sketches in a variety of mediums in guided sessions suitable for everyone. Starting with the humble pencil, we will look at perspective, shadow and tone. Learn how to use charcoal, pastels and ink to draw with - using a variety of techniques and developing new skills. We will explore the basics of sketching and mark-making to create your very own unique artwork. All abilities welcome - with a willingness to have a go and enjoy yourself. Learn something new today!

How will the course be delivered?
You will be working with your tutor and other students on a weekly basis, face to face.

Will I need to study or practise outside the classroom?
It is always useful to practise your skills between sessions. Your tutor may set some home learning for you to practise.

How will I know I’m making progress?
Your tutor will set objectives for each session and give feedback on how you are progressing. You will agree personal targets as part of your Individual Learning Plan (ILP), and you will review your targets throughout the course to check your own progress.
