Refine your observational skills by learning composition principles and practicing detailed drawing techniques. Master light and shadow to create depth and form in your artworks. Experiment with various drawing media like charcoal and pastels, then choose your preferred painting medium (acrylics, oils, etc.) to explore colour, texture, and reflections.
Through interactive demonstrations, personalised feedback, and group critiques, gain the confidence to create captivating and well-composed still life artworks. This course offers a supportive environment to explore creative approaches and discover the beauty in everyday objects.
Progression: After completing the course, delve deeper into specific still life techniques (hyperrealism, trompe l'śil), explore thematic approaches (memento mori, vanitas), or consider life drawing classes. Consider further studies in fine art programs.
Careers: This course can be a stepping stone towards careers like Fine Artist (selling still life artworks), Illustrator (focusing on still life elements), Art Therapist (using still life for therapeutic purposes), or Product Designer (understanding light and shadow for product presentation).
