Fusion 360 is 3D Computer Aided Design software that is free for personal use.

In this course you will learn to design functional parts in 3D-CAD using this parametric cloud-based software. Fusion 360 is extremely popular among designers and hobbyists. Using exact measurements and design specifications, you will learn how to create a model and then easily tweak parameters to refine any design. You will learn the user interface to be able to navigate 3D space, using various tools and methods create a variety of 3D models that can even be used to 3D print a design.

How will this course be delivered?
The course is through tutor led sessions in an IT classroom. You will learn through completing practical activities with support from your tutor.

Will I need to study or practise outside the classroom?
It is always useful to practice your skills between sessions.

How will I know I'm making progress?
During the first session, your tutor will discuss your goals and current level in relation to the course. Based on this assessment, you will agree individual targets which you will record in your individual learning plan (ILP). You and your tutor will review your targets regularly to ensure that you are making progress; these will be written in your individual learning plan.

What will I need for the course?
Please bring a pen and notepad to each session. To practice at home, you can download a free version of Fusion 360 onto a pc or laptop however you can still take part in the course without this.
