Description

3D printing is one of the newest technologies to hit our homes. This course will take you through each stage of the process from design and programming through to the creation of your own, unique model. You will use 3D modelling techniques to design your model using free software and design tools before learning to use the printer itself to build your final model.

Course Intent

How will the course be delivered?
You will be working with your tutor and other students on a weekly basis, face to face.

Will I need to study or practise outside the classroom?
It is always useful to practice your skills between sessions. Your tutor may set some home learning for you to practice.

How will I know I’m making progress?
Your tutor will set objectives for each session and give feedback on how you are progressing. You will agree personal targets as part of your Individual Learning Plan (ILP), and you will review your targets throughout the course to check your own progress.

What will I need for the course?
Please bring a pen and notepad to each session.
