The purpose of this qualification is to increase the learner's knowledge and awareness of the Prevent Duty and safeguarding, including online safety. . By completing the qualification, learners will develop
knowledge of safeguarding in an environment where they have a duty of care.

Course aims

Qualification
The aim of this course is to provide the learner with the following mandatory units:- Unit 01 Understanding the Prevent Duty Unit 02 Understanding Safeguarding Unit 03 Understanding Online Safety.

How will the course be delivered?
All courses are exclusively delivered via an online learning, self-study programme.

How will I know I'm making progress?
You will receive regular feedback from an assessor following completion and submission of individual units. You will also receive weekly updates of progress as well as any outstanding items.

Will I need to study or practise outside the classroom?
There is a considerable amount of work for you to do in your own time for this qualification. Please allow a minimum of 2 hours per week for this

What will I need to take to the course?
You will find it useful to bring a pen/pencil and notebook with you to your session. Please note that food and drink are not allowed during the session, although you may bring a bottle of water with you if required.
