This course is the advanced level of the AAT Accounting Qualification. It offers technical training in accounting and its main purpose is to provide students with specialist knowledge and skills to gain employment in an accounting role and/or the opportunity to enhance practice to progress to more qualifications in accountancy or a related field.

At this advanced level, you will master more complex financial processes, including final accounts for sole traders and partnerships, reports and returns and professional ethics.

Exam/Material Fee
The awarding body for this qualification is Association of Accounting Technicians. Exam Fee: £ (included in the above costs) Material Fee: £ (included in the above costs) The material fee will cover the text and workbooks for each module.

Entry requirements
You must have completed AAT L2 or equivalent in preparation for this course. A mathematics qualification at level 2 is also required. If not already a member of AAT, you will have to pay an admission fee of plus an annual membership fee. This is to be paid by the learner directly to AAT via the AAT website.

How will I learn?
You will be working with your tutor and other students online in a Google Classroom. This will involve a regular video meeting every week, using the Google Meets app, with supporting learning resources in the virtual Google Classroom. We will supply you with a login and password when you enrol, and we can provide telephone support to help you to get into the virtual classroom on your computer

Will I need to study or practise outside the classroom?
There is a considerable amount of work for you to do in your own time for this qualification. Please allow a minimum of six/eight hours per week for homework and self-study.

How will I know I'm making progress?
Your tutor will set objectives for each session and give feedback on how you are progressing. You will agree personal targets as part of your Individual Learning Plan (ILP), and you will review your targets throughout the course to check your own progress. Practice papers will be assigned throughout the course to prepare for set exams.

What will I need to take to course?
You will need either a computer with Google Chrome or a Smart device (phone/tablet) with Google Chrome and the Google Meet apps installed and access to WIFI. Please bring a pen and notepad to each session
