This course will provide learners with the opportunity to understand and apply the basic principles of Interactice Media to areas of their work or personal life. With a focus on creating online content, learners will explore and develop their ideas into a final product/ project utilising a variety of software.

Course Intent
This qualification aims to:
- enable learners to develop basic skills in the use of interactive media and the underpinning knowledge of interactive media processes
- provide a basis for progression to other areas of study and, enable learners to make more informed career choices.

NCFE Certificate in Interactive Media Level 1
Unit 01 Explore interactive media products and processes
Unit 02 Understand and use computer systems in an interactive media design environment
Unit 03 Explore ideas and create interactive media content
Unit 04 Assemble interactive media products to produce final work
Assessment
Internally Assessed Workbook/Portfolio.
How will the course be delivered?
This is a practical course and the sessions will include tutor-led demonstrations, learner-led group activities, instruction and repetition. These will form part of the delivery together with one-to-one support as required.
Will I need to study or practise outside the classroom?
It is always useful to practise your skills between sessions. Your tutor may set some home learning for you to practise.
How will I know I’m making progress?
Your tutor will set course targets on a weekly basis as part of an individual learning plan (ILP) and you will review your progress throughout the course to check your progress.
What will I need for the course?
Please bring a pen, notepad (or digital alternative) and a file for your hand-outs. Access to a pc outside the classroom is essential for completing classroom projects.
