Description

This hands-on introductory course is aimed at beginners and improvers in creating geometry as an art form and to underpin broader design skills. It will introduce you to various symbols of geometric constructions, beginning with the ancient seed flower and gradually moving from this foundational structure to develop more complex shapes We will explore some of the history of how this timeless art and design has been used architecturally and is still relevant today in design. The course will discuss various compass types and you will learn how to hold and use the tools appropriately to achieve accurate drawings. The course naturally underpins easy-to-learn measuring and proportion skills as a framework for your geometry constructions. If you are looking to enhance this area of your current maths studies and begin a creative learning journey in which combining numbers, lines, angles, and measuring skills will be useful then this course will suit you. Geometry is also known to support the connection to both our analytical and intuitive ways of working, it enables us to problem-solve and be creative at the same time. The skills you learn will improve your eye-hand coordination and organically expand your untapped creative potential.
