it is estimated that 46% of people who are living with diabetes are undiagnosed.
Although diabetes can be life changing, many cases of diabetes can be managed by
simple lifestyle changes. The Level 3 Certificate in Care and Management of
Diabetes aims to increase understanding and awareness of diabetes, particularly for
those working in the health and social care sector.
Who is this course for?
Learners who are over 19 years of age and are interested in gaining a qualification in the care and management of diabetes and have some previous experience in this subject.
Entry requirements
Entry requirements vary depending on your previous qualification levels and

Qualification
NCFE CACHE LEVEL 3 CERTIFICATE IN UNDERSTANDING THE CARE AND MANAGEMENT OF DIABETES
It will be assessed by your Tutor or Assessor using a portfolio of evidence.

Diabetes in Context (K/615/7129)
Understand the Treatment and Management of Diabetes (D/615/7130)
Understand the Complications of Diabetes (H/615/7131)
How will the course be delivered?
This is an E-Learning course and is exclusively delivered via an online learning, self-study programme. You will be enrolled for an online learning platform and will work independently through the units and materials provided.
Will I need to study or practise outside the classroom?
This is an E-learning course and your study pattern is self-managed. A commitment of 2 - 3 hours per week is suggested to enable successful completion of the course within the timescale of 20 weeks.
How will I know I'm making progress?
You will receive regular feedback from an assessor following completion and submission of individual units. You will also receive weekly updates of progress as well as any outstanding items.
What will I need for the course?
A laptop or desktop computer with internet access is required for completion of coursework and home learning.
