Are you looking to progress to Higher Education in Art and Design?
This Level 3 Access to HE Diploma is designed to prepare students without traditional qualifications for entry into Higher Education. The Diploma provides an opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills needed for higher education study. It also supports the development of important social and emotional skills, such as communication and confidence.

Entry requirements
You must hold Level 2 qualifications in both English and Maths, or be working towards them alongside studying your Access to Higher Education Diploma.

Who is this course for?
The Access to HE Diploma is a full Level 3 qualification designed to prepare learners without traditional qualifications for entry into Higher Education (HE). The Diploma provides opportunity for learners to acquire and develop knowledge and skills needed

Course Summary
To achieve the Access to HE Diploma, students must achieve 60 credits. This must include 45 credits from the Art and Design or Related Studies subject groups at Level 3. 15 credits from any combination of the Study Skills or Introductory Academic subject groups. Academic Study Techniques is mandatory within the Study Skills group. Units studied will include: Colour Theory and Application Digital Imaging Introduction to Computing in Arts and Design Exploring Ideas Through Processes Drawing for Art and Design History of Art and Design Observed Drawing Graphic Design Photography Skills Portfolio and Progression

Delivery will be a combination of face to face and online classroom sessions.

You will need to plan your study time carefully - this course is designed to be completed over 1 year.
